Privacy Policy – Worklog Calendar for Jira

Worklog Calendar for Jira is an independent browser extension that displays the signed-in user’s Jira Cloud worklog information directly inside Jira pages.

Data the extension accesses

The extension may access:

• Jira account information, including display name and Jira account ID.
• Jira content required for worklog functionality, including issue keys, issue summaries, worklog timestamps, durations, worklog comments, board information, and Jira filter context.
• The current Jira Cloud URL and origin to identify the relevant Jira tenant, project, board, or issue.
• Extension preferences including workday hours, daily, weekly and monthly goals, board scope preferences, language and duration-unit settings, calendar range, panel state, launcher visibility, and last resolved board context.

How data is used

This data is used solely to:

• Identify the signed-in Jira user.
• Retrieve that user’s Jira worklogs.
• Calculate daily, weekly, and monthly worklog totals.
• Display recent worklog entries.
• Determine the current Jira board, project, or issue context.
• Remember extension preferences.
• Open a Jira issue in a browser tab when the user clicks it in the calendar.

The tabs permission is used only to open that issue tab. The extension does not collect or maintain a history of websites visited.

Data storage and transmission

Jira data is requested directly from the Jira Cloud site currently open in the browser using HTTPS and the browser’s existing authenticated Jira session.

The extension does not operate a developer-controlled backend and does not send Jira account, worklog, issue, or browsing data to the developer.

Worklog and issue content is not persistently stored by the extension. Worklog information may be held in browser memory for about two minutes to improve performance, then discarded.

Extension data is stored as follows:

• chrome.storage.sync: user settings such as goals, work days, language, duration units, calendar range, and board scope. These may be synchronized by Google Chrome when browser synchronization is enabled by the user. Such synchronization is controlled by Chrome and the user’s Google/Chrome settings.
• chrome.storage.local: last board context, remembered board map, whether the panel is open, and persistent launcher-hidden preference.
• sessionStorage: “hide until reload” launcher preference, which is cleared when the page is refreshed.

The extension does not read or store Jira passwords, authentication tokens, or authentication cookies. Jira API requests use the authenticated Jira browser session already established by the user.

Browsing information

The extension only operates on https://.atlassian.net/ pages. It may read the current Jira page URL to determine the relevant Jira tenant, board, project, or issue.

The extension does not collect or maintain a general history of websites visited by the user and does not send browsing information to the developer.

Sharing and sale of data

The extension does not sell user data.

The extension does not use user data for advertising, profiling, creditworthiness, lending, or purposes unrelated to its worklog functionality.

The extension does not include third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs.

Data is exchanged only with the user’s Jira Cloud site as necessary to provide the extension’s functionality, and extension preferences may be synchronized through Chrome as described above.

Data retention

Jira worklog and issue content is not persistently stored by the extension.

Extension preferences and small Jira context settings remain in Chrome storage until they are changed, the extension’s data is cleared, or the extension is uninstalled.

The user can clear all extension data with the in-settings “Reset all data” action, which removes chrome.storage.sync and chrome.storage.local data for this extension, in-memory caches, and the session launcher-hidden preference.

Chrome Web Store Limited Use

The extension’s use of user data complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
